Family Delighted To Adopt The Calmest Puppy In The Litter, Only To Discover They Were Completely Wrong
Having multiple dogs throughout my life, I have learned quite a few useful things when it comes to choosing a dog you want to have.
One of those things is that there is no such thing as a quiet, laidback pup who will always take it easy and enjoy things at a slower pace.
They are all equally adorable and mischievous at the same time. One second, he’s enjoying the cuddles, in the very next, he’s getting the zoomies.
When this woman first adopted her Golden Retriever called Ellie, she did not even suspect what was waiting for her in the days ahead. I guess you could say she was quite surprised.
Ellie The ‘Calm’ Dog
After Ellie first entered her forever home, her life changed forever. She loved being with her new parents, and they would spend a lot of time together.
As she continued to grow up, it became apparent that the ‘calmest’ puppy of the litter was developing a personality.
The only surprise to all of this is that she was a lot different than they had hoped she would be. Ellie became really outgoing and very energetic.
Her owners soon noticed that she spends a lot of time just napping and enjoying herself, but there are also a lot of moments where she is not doing that.
Instead, she makes laps around the house and tries to bite everything in her way. The owners felt ‘tricked’ by Ellie as she was clearly not who she was presenting to be.
On one occasion, Ellie’s mom decided to film her zoomies so she could have this precious memory on camera.
It’s Universal For All Puppies
Now that she had proof, Ellie’s mom posted an entire clip on TikTok with a very simple caption: “She tricked us…”
One person commented: “My Golden is 18 months old now, so basically I have a velociraptor in the house at the moment.”
Okay, so it seems that no matter the age, Golden Retrievers rarely ever change and this is the real proof.
Another person said: “The high energy zoomies means she is super happy. Highest compliment a puppy/dog can give. Love them so much.”
This is one of the things that owners sometimes overlook. If a dog is really happy in your home, then this is just one of the ways they will show it.
Lastly, someone commented: “You got the quiet puppy but you made her a happy doggy and now she’s got the zoomies! I had that for about 3 years with our lab…”
It’s a simple fact that dogs often express themselves in this way. Regardless of their personality, so many of them love playing and running around with someone they wholeheartedly love.
Ellie’s adorable zoomies got a lot of attention on TikTok, and I can confidently say that it’s always heartwarming to see dogs in these types of situations that most of us can relate to. She is just so sweet and amazing.
