In a shocking and dangerous incident at the Berlin Zoo, a 32-year-old woman, identified only as Mandy K., was attacked by a polar bear after jumping into their enclosure while the bears were being fed. The woman sustained multiple injuries before zookeepers were able to intervene and save her from the attack.

To reach the enclosure, Mandy K. climbed over a fence, navigated a line of hedges, and scaled a wall. Once inside, she leaped into the habitat just as the polar bears were being fed, a critical moment when the animals are most alert and focused on food. The polar bears, startled by her presence, quickly reacted, and one of them bit her repeatedly on the arms, legs, and back.

Despite the terrifying circumstances, six zookeepers acted swiftly in a desperate attempt to distract the four bears. While their efforts were successful in diverting most of the bears, one continued to attack Mandy, resulting in serious injuries to her limbs. Ultimately, the zookeepers were able to scare the bear off and pull her to safety.

Mandy K. was immediately taken to the hospital, where she underwent surgery to treat her wounds. She is currently recovering from her ordeal, though the emotional and physical scars will likely take time to heal.

Following the incident, it was revealed that Mandy is a teacher who had reportedly been struggling with job-related stress and frustration over her inability to secure a position, which may have contributed to her drastic and dangerous actions.
